Photographs

Life & Times is a photo-based publication with the emphasis being on images of people and places within our communities. Model releases are not required from individuals or properties when the image has been taken for editorial purposes. Life & Times staff endeavor to obtain the verbal permission of each person seen in print and where necessary the written permission. If your picture appears on our web site and you would like it removed please notify us using our contact form and we will try and accomodate you.

Visiting www.Barrie-Life.com

Every time you visit our site, our servers log your visit by making a record of your IP Address and the type of Browser you are using. It tells us what part of the world you are viewing from and the various pages that you visit within the site. There is no other personal information available to us. The reason we keep track of this information is to gauge the site's popular/not-so popular areas and learn more about our visitors so that we can make each new visit an enjoyable one. Lighthouse Publications never redistributes the collected information except in aggregate form (i.e. We receive "x" number of visitors per month. Our most popular page is "x".).

Forms

There are an increasing number of web programs that can "troll" the internet and collect email addresses from web pages when companies post their contact information. In order to reduce the amount of spam email we receive we have implemented a contact form. This form requires you to put your email address in. The purpose for this is so that we have an email address to respond to. We do not hold on to, save or archive any incoming emails. Email addresses are kept strictly confidential! We do not sell, redistribute or share email addresses that come to us in any format.

In addition to event planners being able to contact us by phone, we have implemented an event submission form. Here event planners can notify our staff of upcoming events so that we may schedule an appearance for our staff photographers at said event. We require event planners to provide us with a contact name, email address and or telephone number for arrangements to be made. We do not hold on to, save or archive any incoming emails and telephone numbers for any purpose other than the initial contact of arranging an appearance.

Potential advertisers requesting media kits are asked to fill in a form. They will be asked to provide us with a contact name, email address and or telephone number to discuss the possibility of advertising within the publication Life & Times or sister newspapers. We do not hold on to, save or archive any incoming emails and telephone numbers for any purpose other than to arrange for advertisement placements.

Secure Credit Card Transactions

Opt-in eMail List

Life & Times has implemented a weekly (or less often depending on available content) electronic newsletter. In order to receive this email you must subscribe using our double opt-in email list. We will ask for your name and email address. You are under no obligation to buy any products or sign up for any other ezines when you subscribe to this mailing list even if the offer exists.

We do not sell email lists to third parties, nor do the service providers we use.
